Dr. Arun Kumar Sharma is Professor in the Department of Community Medicine at University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi.

Ms. Palak Balyan is a Senior Research Scholar at Delhi University. At present, she is working as a Junior Research Fellow in Ministry of Earth Sciences, Project Titled: “Monitoring indoor air pollution (IAP) in Delhi University Area and accessing its Human Health Impact”. She is also pursuing her Doctoral Thesis. Her broad area of research is: “Bioaerosols: Enumeration & Human Health Responses in Urban Environment”

Resource Persons for Activity 2:

Dr. Ambuj Kumar is a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Center/Division of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) and Health Outcomes Research at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, Tampa, FL and an Associate Member in the Department of Health Outcomes and Behavior at the Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. His expertise and research interest is in the area of Comparative Effectiveness Research. Dr. Kumar has applied the methodology of comparative effectiveness research to address uncertainty related not only to the efficacy/harms of competing treatments or diagnostic tests, but also expanded it to other fields of behavioral sciences, genetic medicine and imaging studies. He serves on the editorial board of Cochrane Collaboration Hematological malignancies group and the Lung Cancer Group and as a reviewer for 18 peer-reviewed journals and various associations in the field of health services research. Dr. Kumar has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and has published in several high impact Journals including Nature, BMJ, JAMA etc to name a few.

Dr. Kristen Wells is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at San Diego State University & worked as Assistant Professor at Division of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) and Health Outcomes Research at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, Tampa, FL. Her expertise and research interests are in the area of cancer-related disparities, cancer communication, patient navigation, community health workers, systematic reviews, survey design. She is a PhD in Clinical Psychology from University of South Florida.
